Quote of the Day. Me: Look at those huge birds!!!! Boss: Amanda, those are called seagulls.
We have arrived.
We have arrived.
Two things from the road: One, rental trucks are not allowed in the HOV lane, the officer just informed us oops. Two, we just drove thru Ronkonkoma so I did my famous Ronkonkoma Dance!

Reason #418273 I love theater

Last night at HAIR in Central Park we were wary of the clouds and thunderstorm warnings all night long. As the show started so did the lightning in the distance. The weather held off until halfway through the second act when the temperature dropped 15 degrees in one minute, the big cloud rolled in over Belvedere Castle and half the audience made a break for it before the weather broke.

It’s the middle of Claude’s bad trip when the skies open. Suddenly it’s real live theater and everything is instantly more organic. It’s pouring as the Tribe launches Jonathan Groff towards the clouds. The show goes on until the next break in the music when the stage manager asks the cast to clear the stage. Probably the hardest I’ve clapped and meant it.

These are the experiences you don’t get on television. Vive live theater. More outdoor theater please!

sounds amaaazing. jealy.

I was there last night as well and couldn’t agree more about the live experience.  What an amazing night!

Does anyone know which is the highest grossing Starbucks in Manhattan?

I’m wondering about this as I wait in line for iced coffees for my staff, who is loading up the truck despite our work elevator being broken.

Good god I pack a lot of shoes. I never used to be like this.

Headed east

Tonight, I’ll be dining at my favorite East Hampton restaurant, and tomorrow night I’ll be at a swanky cocktail party in Sag Harbor.  I love “work.”

The best part, I don’t have to plan either of those events!  Today I’m driving out east to start construction on the giant outdoor dance party on Saturday.  I better get a good tan.
