The system works
I was supposed to fly back to NYC on Monday but was rescheduled for a Thursday evening flight. The bleary-eyed Delta agent (poor lady) told me to check back on Delta.com, as folks were double-booked and seats could free up.
Just logged in and sure enough! I was able to change to an earlier flight tomorrow.
Don’t get me wrong; I’ve had an amazing “homecation” in Indiana. I’m relaxed and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. One day, I watched 7 hours of Intervention, Celebrity Rehab and Hoarders (I don’t have cable in NY). And I’ve been to the mall twice, the glorious Super Target three times and ate at Panera an impressive four times. I’m ready to return to NY and resume shopping online.
This is the most time Mom and I have spent together since college (ahem, 10 years ago). But I think we’re each due for some alone time.
And I’m tired of this 90-pound bed hog stealing the covers.
