Seen at the Whitney Museum.
More work from the same chalk artist who created these drawings on the Upper West Side. He was working on Broadway yesterday afternoon.

Last night, I visited the Canstruction exhibit at the World Financial Center with my gallery hop group.
This great art exhibit features structures made out of food cans, which are then donated to City Harvest.
The Beatles piece above is actually one work that can be seen from four different angles. Incredible!

More than 5 million people saw ”The Gates,” and it was credited with injecting about $254 million into the local economy. [NYTimes.com]
I just learned that artist Jeanne-Claude passed away last night.
This is so sad. I loved seeing Jeanne-Claude and her husband at Chelsea gallery openings. Their art was interactive and changed landscapes. I was such a fan.
This is a photo I took of “The Gates” in 2005.
Saw my first Revs metal piece last night. This was very exciting, as I’d previously only seen his painted tags.
Great story on him from 2005 here. He’s a street art legend.
